Acetyl Hexapeptide-8

Acetyl hexapeptide-8 is a compound of six (Greek hexa) amino acids. It was first produced and researched in 2002. This peptide showed a special ability: like the controversial food toxin botulinum toxin (BOTOX), it is able to inhibit the release of neurotransmitters in a targeted manner – with the effect that expression lines are smoothed out.

Because acetyl hexapeptide-8 does not cause allergies, it has been widely used in cosmetics since its discovery. Applied to the skin, it is a safe and gentle alternative to botox injections.
