CALCIUM PANTOTHENATE

Calcium pantothenate is the chemical name for vitamin B5. It plays two important roles in human metabolism. On the one hand it is involved in the production of steroid hormones such as cortisol. As a stress hormone, the latter has an anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive effect. On the other hand, vitamin B5 is involved in the formation of connective tissue, mucous membranes, hair and nails.

Both functions also benefit the skin. The anti-inflammatory effect of vitamin B5 allows abrasions, superficial skin injuries or impurities to heal quickly. It also regulates sebum production (sebum), which helps against acne. Through its involvement in the formation of the conjunctiva, vitamin B5 gives the face and hands a beautiful and clear complexion – even in old age.
