Dipeptide-2

Dipeptide-2 is a compound of the two amino acids tryptophan and valine. The molecular structure of dipeptide-2 is similar to that of certain lipids in the epidermis. This is why dipeptide acts as a natural moisturizing factor that binds water in the skin and thus prevents it from drying out.

The amino acid compound is particularly used in the treatment of lachrymal sacs and dark circles under the eyes. Dipeptide-2 gives the skin back its moisture and cushions it from the inside.
