SODIUM PCA

Sodium PCA or Sodium Pyrrolidone Carboxylate is a derivative of an amino acid, more precisely: L-Glutamic acid, which is mainly extracted from sugar cane. The active agent is found in the skin as a component of the natural moisturizing factor (NMF). NMF is a group of substances which bind water on and in the skin and provide it with moisture in a natural way.

Also on its own, Sodium PCA has proven to be an intensively hydrating active ingredient which is easy to apply due to its water solubility.
