GLYCINE

Glycine is a non-essential, hydrophilic amino acid. It owes its name, which is derived from Greek glykýs (sweet), to the sweet taste of pure glycine.

As an amino acid, glycine is responsible for protein synthesis in the skin and other body tissues. In cosmetic products it provides the skin with moisture and promotes the skin's own cell regeneration and wound healing. Together with leucine and proline, two other amino acids, glycine can be used as an anti-wrinkle active ingredient. It also stimulates collagen production in the fibroblasts and thus counteracts age-related collagen breakdown.

Glycine is also contained in our amino acid complex.
