ACETYL TETRAPEPTIDE-40

Acetyl Tetrapeptide-40 is a compound of four amino acids. Like other tetrapeptides, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-40 is pharmacologically active. In the skin, the compound inhibits the release of interleukins. These are released by the immune system to organise inflammation, which eliminates possible pathogens. In the process, new blood vessels are formed and collagen is broken down. This visibly leads to skin redness and the formation of fine veins (telangiectasia). Not only environmental toxins, but also UV radiation is able to set this inflammation cascade in motion.

Acetyl Tetrapeptide-40 counteracts these inflammatory effects. Thus, the compound visibly reduces unwanted skin redness and veins.
